At the April 20, 2022 MTA Board meeting, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to cancel the Rec. 3 Sports Complex. After reviewing bids from four contractors, it was determined the project is no longer financially feasible. Inflation, supply chain and other construction related issues have increased the costs by multiple millions of dollars, to the point where the cost exceeded available reserves for the project. The Board will look at other, more feasible options for Rec. 3 in the near future.
Rec. 3 is now open for reservations beyond May 31st, just in time for graduation parties.
