Aloha,
I am writing to you on behalf of Board of Water Supply (BWS) Public information Officer Kathleen Elliott-Pahinui.
In response to the recent resident concerns about milky water in Mililani Mauka, the BWS is making adjustments to the water system. As a result, the BWS will be running pumping equipment near our Mililani 994ʻ Reservoir on Lehiwa St. by Mililani Recreation Center No. 7, today, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. This is to ensure continuity of water service and adequate pressures to the community.
We do not expect that we will need to run the pump daily, only as needed. However, there will be some noise from the pump, which will impact nearby residents. The BWS apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience and understanding while we work to resolve the issue.
Please let us know if you have questions.
Mahalo and have a pleasant day,
~Tracy Burgo
